Tattoo "Ta Moko"
The tattoo of the mouth and chin, known as the Ta Moko tradition, is sacred to the Maori people of New Zealand. Tattoos are sometimes full-bodied, an ancient tradition of 1,000 years, using roads and tools like chisel.
Tattoo patterns differ from one aspect to another depending on social status and power. It is said to be indicative of many tribal messages and is also a sign of beauty, strength, belonging, and willingness to take responsibility. Some see it as drawing attention to the beauty of the eyes and lips.
